Warranty
Everything below is the full text of our warranty, published here so you can read it before you buy, not after.
90 Days, Satisfied or Refunded
You have 90 days from the day your order arrives to send it back for any reason, or no reason. Once we receive it, we refund the original payment method in full. Not store credit, not a voucher.
The piece needs to come back in wearable condition. Beyond that we do not ask questions.
Lifetime Limited Warranty
Every piece we sell carries a lifetime limited warranty. It is called limited because it has exclusions, and US law requires that word on any warranty that does. The exclusions are listed below, in full.
What it covers
- Tarnishing, discoloration or corrosion under normal wear. Showers, sweat, rain, the gym, daily use. If the metal changes color in those conditions, that is a material failure and we replace the piece.
- Breakage of the piece itself. A clasp that fails, a link that separates, a band that cracks, a setting that lets go of its stone, without you having damaged it.
How we handle a claim
By replacement, not repair. We send you the same piece. If it is no longer in the catalogue, you choose something of equal value.
No receipt required and no time limit. Email us at the address on our contact page with a photo of the piece. That is the whole process.
What it does not cover
- Mechanical damage. Deep scratches, a crushed link, a bent band, a piece caught in a door. Metal marks when you hit it, and that is not a defect.
- Deliberate chemical exposure. Bleach, household cleaners, hot tubs, or salt water left to dry on the metal season after season without a rinse. Our care instruction is ten seconds under fresh water after the sea or the pool. Skip it long enough and the metal will eventually pit.
- Normal wear of a gold tone finish. A PVD coating is hard and well bonded, but it is a coating, and coatings abrade at friction points over years. That is the finish reaching the end of its life, not failing. Anyone who tells you a coating is permanent is overselling. We explain the timeline in how long a PVD gold finish really lasts.
- Loss or theft. A warranty is a promise about the material. It is not insurance.
Who Is Covered
The original buyer, for as long as they own the piece. It does not transfer if the piece is sold on. If it was a gift, the person who received it is covered, since they are the one wearing it.
A Note on What We Do Not Claim
The tarnish half of this warranty is easy for us to promise, because stainless steel contains no silver and simply cannot form the black film that darkens sterling. The chemistry does the work. We wrote out why in does stainless steel tarnish.
The breakage half is the harder promise, and it is the one that forces the construction to be right.
What we do not promise is a metal that survives anything. Chlorides are the one real weakness of stainless steel, which is why the rinse is in the care instructions and why unrinsed salt water sits in the exclusions rather than in the coverage. And a gold tone PVD finish is a color, not a gold content: we make no claim about gold in it, because there is none to claim.
Your Legal Rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state, and in other countries you keep whatever statutory rights your local consumer law gives you. Nothing here reduces them.
